CM’s Disabled Marriage Incentive Scheme

Introduction
Disabled Marriage Promotion Scheme has been started from Order No. F-3-42 / 2008 / 26-2, dated 12-08-2008 of the Department of Social Justice and Disabled Welfare. This scheme is to ensure social rehabilitation of persons with disabilities as per the provisions of Rule 1997 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.

Purpose
To encourage disabled people for marriage and to ensure social rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, Disabled Marriage Incentive Scheme has been started.

Beneficiary:

The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 has 40% or more disability as defined in Section-2. You are a resident of Madhya Pradesh. Minimum age - 21 years for the applicant and 18 years for the applicant should have been completed. Marriage is religiously / socially or legally prescribed by the competent court. The applicant / applicant is not an income tax payer.

Benefits:

Incentives amounting to Rs. 2.00 lakh on marriage of a normal girl on disabilities and on getting married to a normal youth on disabilities. Couples will be given a sum of Rs 1.00 lakh to the couple jointly if both the youth and the girl is disabled.

How To Apply

The application in the prescribed format will have to be submitted online or offline to the office of Joint Director/Deputy Director Social Justice and Disabled Welfare along with the following documents. Or will be deposited in Janpad Panchayat, Urban Bodies. Designated Officer for approval – Joint Director / Deputy Director Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Department and the time limit for disposal of the application form – 15 working days.
1. Disability certificate issued by a competent medical practitioner in the prescribed format,
2. Residence Certificate,
3. Marriage certificate in which the court of marriage was performed according to religious rituals and social customs and local public representatives such as – Honorable MP, Honorable MLA, District Panchayat President, President of Janpad Panchayat, Mahapore, President Municipality / Municipal Corporation, Sarpanch, Certificate given by Revenue Officer
4. Two passport size photographs each (of the couple) along with the application form.
